As with any internet device there are security risks whether it be a Netbook,Laptop,Phone or Ipod from the second you connect to the internet to the second you disconnect you are at risk. This evening i was watching the latest installment of watchdog, for people who do not watch the BBC. Watchdog is basically a program that investigates social and private issues. So anyway they were on the topic of identity theft and hacking well then they started talking about public WiFi networks you know,,,, the ones you get in Starbuck’s,Cafe’s and on the Train.
Then they warned us about the safety of these networks and demonstrated how easy it would be for a hacker to gain access to your email account whilst you were connected to the free network. This got me thinking how could i prevent this and how many times have i used a network like this. I can tell you were i live there is a free wireless connection called “Street Net” i have used this a lot and got very worried, fortunately i was safe as i used a anti hacking tool.
Read the watchdog report for some more tips on preventing this type of identity theft.

Windows Live Mail is (to me) the best email client to date. I actually only started to use it when I started with Windows 7 RC. Before this I did use Clients such as ; Mozilla ThunderBird, Outlook 2003, Windows Mail (Default Vista Client). When I started with Live Mail, I was shocked on how easy it was to set up your email. Unlike ThunderBird, Outlook and Mail, you can also set up HTML email providers such as; Hotmail and Mail.com. This is handy for some people.
The Windows Live Mail Interface is unique. I took the liberty in taking a screenshot of my version of the app :

I have highlighted my favourite feature. This is the Quick Views feature. Live Mail rounds up all your unread mail and puts it to one folder.
Tak not of how your mail and mail viewer are in columns. This is a bit easier to manage compared to Thunderbird and Mail’s, Horizontal look.
So is Windows Live Mail the Best Email Client out There ?
Comment with your views,
Will Zam you later,

Have you ever wondered, “What is that song called?” For example if you were listening to an online stream or radio station and they forgot to say the name of the song.
Well, Tunatic for Windows and Mac can do this. Just have a microphone (integrated or not) next to the sound source, then click on the magnify glass and it will set to work. It may take a while the first time and this can depend on your mic quality. After 20-30 seconds a name and artitst should appear. You can then shoose to click on search results of places to download or buy a copy. Just click on the little arrow next to all that info.
In my opinion. It should be available as a windows sidebar gadget due to its size and moblility.
Here are some screenshots of this amazing app at work :

(Tunatic default.)

(Tunatic Identifies the song.)

(Tunatic has finished and displays the song name and artist.)
Tunatic is available for:
Mac OS 10.2 up.
